The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has created National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS*T). These standards promote effective technology integration in the classroom. Teaching with technology has been shown to increase student achievement.

The first teacher in space, Christa McAuliffe, said it better than any other teacher ever could! I watched Challenger's lift-off from the USF campus that fateful day, and then froze in horror as the shuttle exploded right overhead. No words could possibly describe the feelings of that moment. Christa forever remains a sober reminder of the courage and dedication of teachers everywhere. And so, Christa, my fellow educator, I touch the sky as I dedicate this page to you.
